This year, visitors to the Survitec Group stand were able to meet our colleagues from all around the world to find out more about our growing range of safety products and services for the cruise, ferry, cargo, tanker and offshore shipping markets.
It was also an exciting time away from the stand this year, with exclusive demonstrations taking place each day for our new innovative AES inflatable Lifeboat solution (for large passenger ships) in the harbour nearby. Our new, revolutionary escape system is currently undergoing trials and promises to address the twin challenges of safe, rapid evacuation for passengers abandoning ship and the need to escape safely away from the stricken vessel as quickly as possible. This new AES technology will build on these strengths, in particular the requirement to reduce crew intervention, automatic deployment and ensure the system is self-contained with propulsion capability.
SMM 2016 has been a great platform to showcase a range of exciting new safety products and services for the commercial marine market and it was good to see a busy show generating lots of customer enquiries across the 4 days. With the latest range of Crewsaver 3D ErgoFit Workvest lifejackets and the new 1000 series wind farm immersion suit on display, visitors were also able to see our extended product portfolio and learn more about the benefits associated with the latest Safelaunch SLA 3.5 combined automatic release hook and our Global Service & Hire solutions.
