DSB part of the Survitec Group has won a contract to supply the new Alexander von Humboldt II with two  semi- rigid aluminium Rescue Boats and several liferafts.

The Alexander von Humbolt II is the replacement for the original Alexander von Humboldt ship which is one of the last tall ships in operation. Recognised the world over by sailing enthusiasts and owned by DSST the Alexander von Humbolt II will now be equipped with state-of –the-art survival equipment, merging old world majesty with Survitecs’  twenty first century innovative design and technology.

Delivery of the first Recue Boat is expected at the beginning of February 2011 but will be available to view at the Dusseldorf Boat show in January.
