Survitec Group grows defence sales team in Middle East and Asia

Survitec Group Limited (Survitec), world-wide manufacturer and distributor of survival technology for the marine, defence and aerospace industries, is pleased to announce the appointments of Amit Singh and David Forrest as International Sales Managers.  Amit and David will join the Birkenhead Defence and Aerospace Sales team and will report directly to Stuart King (Head of Sales).

Amit joins from Human Recognition Systems Ltd where he was the International Business Development Consultant responsible for sales of Security and Surveillance Equipment in Europe, Middle East and the Asian Markets.  Within Survitec Amit will be responsible for sales development and relationships across Asia including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, South Korea, Singapore and Japan.

David Forrest joins from Professional Protection Systems Inc. where he was a consultant responsible for business development and sales of Shelters and Protective (Atomic) Suits in Europe, Middle East and South East Asia.  Prior to this, David spent 18 years with Aearo Limited where he was the European Sales & Marketing Manager responsible for the sales of Personal Safety Equipment. Within Survitec David will be responsible for sales development and relationships across the Middle East including Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Kuwait as well as Australia and New Zealand.

The Survitec Group was acquired by global private equity firm Warburg Pincus in 2010. With the backing of its new shareholders, Survitec is pursuing its global expansion strategy and strengthening its leading position in the marine, defence and aerospace safety markets.
